FIG & OLIVE Melrose Place Opens

New York-based FIG & OLIVE Melrose Place kitchen and tasting bar opened its doors at the beginning of this month, and I was thrilled to attend the accompanying celebration.

The fete spanned three, themed evenings: Italian Night (sponsored by Fendi, Lamborghini and Frederic Fekkai), Spanish Night, and South of France Night. You may be surprised to know that I opted for Italian Night, but who could give up the opportunity of ogling live, in the flesh Fendi wares? Plus, I wanted to be one of the first to have a peek at the much buzzed about new restaurant, which featured walls of golden olive oil, bien sur.

The restaurant’s three rooms and upstairs champagne bar were packed with people, sipping Moet champagne, nibbling offerings like orecchiette with pesto, and eyeing the Fendi models’ fabulous shoes, and bags.

Oh, to have these Fendi shoes:

And it was all the tastier for it:
